Hitbase 98 is a CD-management program with built-in CD-player. The Loan-manager helps manage your loaned CD's. Print CD-covers and inserts for CD's you have created yourself. The layout of the insert can be edited and customized to your own requirements. You may change, add and delete existing artists or CD-sets using the management function. Two CD-archives from the internet are supported. The first is the Hitbase-archive, the other is the CDDB-archive which currently contains more than 200,000 CD's. When you load a CD which is not yet in your catalog, you can automatically search for this CD on the Internet. The recording-wizard helps you during the recording of tracks. Hitbase 98 allows you to read data direct from the CD (via ASPI) without having to use your sound-card. You can also compress your recorded tracks using the Audio Compression Manager (ACM). This makes it possible to compress in MP3-format, assuming you have the MP3-codec installed. This download is the free trial version of Hitbase.
