ZVolume is a nice replacement of the standard Windows volume control.

The program is highly customisable, you can adjust the volume from a trim, stay-on-top window, the keyboard; or the command line. Also included are powerful functions to control Winamp, Sonique, NAD and WPlay. Other features include support for skins, styled mouse cursors, a choice of mixer devices and components, and the ability to restore the volume level when the program starts.
