WinMessenger is a simple but useful replacement for the WinPopup program that comes standard with Windows 95/98 but is not included in Windows NT/2000/XP. It's an easy to use program that allows you to send and receive messages on a computer network in real-time without having to use a dedicated server.

The program works over any network protocol (TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, etc.), is easy to deploy and doesn't require computer knowledge or any special configuration.

WinMessenger doesn't crowd the Windows taskbar, it runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar. It supports graphical emoticons and hyperlinks and fully supports the program interface in the English, Spanish and Russian languages.
