The major flaw and immediate cause of most virus/worm e-mail infections is that when a message is downloaded by an e-mail client - it is already TOO LATE. Malicious code executes before anything can be done to prevent it. Mailbox Guard lets you see all incoming mail right on the server, and remove unwanted or suspicious messages right there. The program makes message selection very easy. It pre-screens mail and 'ranks' every message according to a four-level risk scale, which is presented as colour tags. If it is gray, there are no new messages. If it changes colour, new messages are waiting and the risk is denoted by the colour of the dot. If the mouse is moved over the icon, it reveals quick status (last-checked time and number of messages). Other features include unlimited e-mail account management, background mail check, notification on new mail, user-definable lists, plain-text preview, html-tag filter, remote preview and delete of all e-mails from multiple accounts (without downloading to PC).
