Set in the fictional state of Temperance during the early years of Prohibition, Gangsters 2 is the story of one mans fight for vengeance. Joey Bane, recently returned to his home town after serving overseas with the army and struggling to acclimatize to civilian life, is devastated when his father is gunned down whilst trying to earn a few dollars running liquor for the mob. Joey's uncle is also badly wounded in the attack, but manages to pull through. With his uncle serving as mentor, Bane tracks down and slays the gangsters who pulled the trigger that killed his father, then sets out to kill Cain Langham, the top mobster and the man who gave the order for the execution. Following the death of Langham, Bane makes the discovery that Langham himself was just part of a crime syndicate that stretches across the entire state of Temperance to the very state capitol itself, the city of New Temperance. Here, the mobster Frankie Constantine lives a life of luxury, where cutting the thread of a human life means as little to him as cutting the end off a fine Cuban cigar. Building a family of gangsters specialized in areas such as explosives, running rackets, assassination and the art of persuasion, Bane sets out on a journey across Temperance to avenge himself against the man ultimately responsible for his father's death. Friends are made and enemies crushed, the beer and liquor flows freely, and Bane becomes more embroiled in the life of organized crime as he gets ever closer to Frankie Constantine. Running rackets to pay his hoods, buy weapons and vehicles, and to pay off the city officials, Joey Bane finds himself in a fight where revenge is everything, and the only way to achieve it is to be better at being bad.
