Five hundred years in the future, mankind has left behind the atmosphere of earth and begun deep space exploration.

Colonies have been set up on several planets within the earth's solar system. For the most part, peace prevails in the Seven-Planet accord. But that's not where you are. The Fringe is all but friendly. Competing mining corporations, greedy asteroid barons, and the violent acts of sabotage pervade everyday life.

A Mega-Corporation prepares to mine the resources of the Fringe despite the protests of local colonists and the government of Sol is too many light years away to care about this far region of space.
