ActivIcons allows you to customize the Windows desktop icon and cursor attributes. Swap your own, custom icons for Network Neighborhood, My Computer, and other icons which Windows places on your desktop and Explorer file manager.

The program also enables you to quickly change the default Windows mouse cursors, make the icon text labels transparent, change the colour of desktop icon text descriptions, replace the Windows startup and shutdown screens, and rebuild the Windows icon cache.

Other features allow you to increase the size of the Windows desktop cache, replace various drive and folder icons, restore the desktop default icons, save/restore the positions of desktop icons, replace the IE and OE logo animations, change or hide the desktop's "Start" button, and change Favourites icons. The program now includes desktop animation.

ActivIcons is licensed as freeware and is therefore free to download, use and keep.
