Description

FontExpert 2002 manages, previews and prints TrueType, OpenType, Adobe Type 1 and raster fonts.

The built-in Dr. Fontson detects font problems (face name, file name, script conflicts, bad file, bad substitution etc.) and advises on solutions. You can find fonts with the powerful search.

The program has several views (panes). The Windows Fonts workspace view shows the list of currently loaded Windows fonts. Font Files workspace view shows the list of files in the selected directory. You use this view to explore drives and folders on your computer and browse for font files. Find Fonts workspace view allows you to search for fonts, preview fonts that were found and copy fonts to other views.

Font Groups workspace view allows you to organise fonts into desired categories, and the Character Table view shows the font selected in the Font Files view or the Windows Fonts view. The view displays the table of characters formatted with the selected font. The Text Sample view shows the sample of text formatted with the font selected in the Font Files view or the Windows Fonts view. The view has a toolbar with the list of predefined samples.

Please note: To work with Adobe Type 1 (PostScript) fonts: Adobe Type Manager is required in Windows 95,98 and ME. (Not required in Windows 2000 and Windows XP).
