A-book is a full-featured contact manager application with an intuitive Explorer-like interface. You can keep all your friends, family and business contacts' information in one organized and clear environment. The program combines two approaches in its interface. A user-friendly treeview representing a hierarchical structure of multiple user-defined "books", and a tabbed alphabet bar for quick filtering of contacts. Books and contacts can easily be managed using drag-and-drop. Each contact record stores plenty of data such as name fields, phone numbers, e-mails, addresses, birthdays, job and family information. You can also specify text style and background colour. A powerful search feature helps you to find information in the database quickly. If you have a modem, you can dial a phone number specified in the contact record. A-book will automatically redial a busy number and put your call into the call log, which is created for every contact. If you make frequent calls to particular phone numbers create a speed dial list of those numbers and quickly make calls using this list. A-book has some unique interface features including custom alphabets (you can create up to 5 of them) and a contact list with multi-lined items. The status bar clock can display time and date in user-defined time zones to help you to determine the time in the place you are going to call. You can preview and print phone lists and complete contact details, import and export data in native and commonly used file formats (including direct export from the Windows Address Book). A-book also has an ability to interface with your email program and Web browser. You can forward your contact data as vCard attached to the e-mail messages.
